Our dry block systems utilize the most advanced thermal reference available today and are built to satisfy the applications of the most demanding primary and secondary laboratory applications. Detailed Description

To calibrate temperature sensors to 250°C look no further than Isotech's portable stirred liquid baths. The Hyperion calibrates from 45°C below ambient to 140°C (284°F) and the Drago from ambient to 250°C (482°F). The useable calibration volume is a massive 2.5" (65mm) diameter and the overall depth of 7.5" (190mm) gives more than twice the volume of competitors' products.

Stirred liquid baths are suitable for temperature sensors of all types, shapes and sizes. Stabilities are much greater than those from Dry Blocks alone and with suitable reference thermometers performance of up to 0.005°C is achievable.

The Hyperion and the Drago are available in two models. If the liquid is directly in the block then the controller only model, or Basic (B) model, can be selected. However, instead of putting liquids directly in the block liquid containers can be used to facilitate rapid change of liquids. When using a liquid container, Dry Block Insert, Blackbody Target or the Surface Sensor Kit a separate reference thermometer should be used to compensate for the varying offset between the controller and the accessory temperature. In this case you should choose the site version (S) which includes a built-in temperature indicator for high accuracy or for best accuracy an external indicator can be used. An ideal combination is the TTI-6 and 935-14-16 Probe which can be programmed with up to five calibration points to provide high accuracy digital probe matching.

Includes as standard: Windows Software, Computer Interface and a Ramp to Set Point Feature. Increased resolution of ±0.01 available throughout the range via the PC interface and, locally on the auto-ranging front display, from -19.99 to +99.99 with the Hyperion and 0.01 to +99.99 with the Drago. The controller features multi-point block to display correction giving good absolute accuracy.

Detailed Description

The ISOCAL 6 is the only calibration system in the world (Patent application 9900158.8) to offer you six calibration baths in one product. It is a complete temperature calibration laboratory in one simple easy-to-use package. It is designed to expand with you to fulfill all of your future calibration needs while giving you the flexibility to meet your current budgetary demands.

The ISOCAL 6 can calibrate temperature sensors absolutely or by comparison. It will calibrate contact and non-contact sensors including infrared thermometers, surface sensors, mercury in glass thermometers, as well as thermocouples, RTDs, and thermistors of any shape.

There are three different models covering a total temperature range of -65°C below ambient to 250°C. The ISOCAL 6 has interchangeable inserts to give you the most flexible calibration system ever, with unprecedented accuracies from ±0.001°C using fixed point cells.

PEGASUS 1200 - Very High Temperature Dry Block Calibrator 150°C to 1200°C (2192°F)

Detailed Description

The Pegasus 1200 is a tube furnace, which includes a specially-profiled heater that gives a central zone of constant temperature. It is ideal for the calibration of noble metal thermocouples, type R and S, in industries such as glass making, electrical power, automotive and material processing. A state of the art digital controller with custom tuning and 5 discrete calibration points provides optimal control and accuracy throughout the full range of the unit.

Available in Site or Basic models, the Basic models utilize a high accuracy, high stability temperature controller which sets and gives an indication of the block temperature. A standard temperature sensor and external thermometer should be used to measure the block's temperature, and industrial sensor outputs are compared to known and traceable values. The site models include an independent temperature indicator that may connect to an optional type R or type S thermocouple or PT100 standard probe, allowing the reference system to be housed in one convenient case.

The Pegasus 1200's temperature range is 150°C to 1200°C. Its stabilization time is 15 minutes. The insert dimensions are: 4 holes 5/16" x 3.2" deep (8mm x 80mm) and the insert options allow drillings to be made per customer specifications.

A fast cool down probe is available as an option. When connected to an air supply, this probe cools down the Pegasus 1200 in about 25% of the normal time. All Pegasus 1200 Models are supplied with RS232 or RS422 communications, and software.

Detailed Description

Isotech has a wide range of Dry Blocks to suit probes requiring a large immersion depth. These products feature large and deep calibration volumes. As such they are less portable then the earlier Dry Blocks, but have higher capacities and retain outstanding temperature uniformity, this uniformity is so good that these larger products are most suitable as apparatus for Secondary Laboratories to realize the Fixed Points of ITS-90.

For Comparison Calibration the Medusa should be used with an insert, the standard insert has six 0.3" pockets 9.8" deep (8mm x 250mm). Also available is an insert 1.7" in diameter x 6.7" deep (44mm x 170mm) which is suspended from the top of the block so that the height is user adjustable. For flexibility the Medusa can also be used with accessories for infrared thermometers and surface sensors. The Medusa is available in both the BASIC (B) and the SITE (S) models.

Detailed Description

The Gemini Dry Block range differs from our other dry blocks with an enormous well capacity of more than 2.5". While still offering all the advantages you'll find in other Isotech calibrators, the Gemini has been designed to have a large block suitable for more probes, or larger probes then can be accommodated in the Jupiter and Calisto models.

The Gemini is available in two models, the BASIC (B) and the SITE (S). The B model includes a sophisticated temperature controller with a dual display for Set Temperature and Dry Block Temperature. The large block has the benefit of higher capacity but with longer heating and cooling times compared to the fast response models such as the Jupiter 650.

Detailed Description

The Jupiter 650 Dry Block range offers industry-leading performance in an easy to use portable package. With its wide temperature range the Jupiter 650 will reach that important 1200°F mark making it ideal for the calibration of thermocouples as well as platinum resistance thermometers. It has been designed for fast heating and cooling for convenient field use. For flexibility surface sensor and infrared thermometer accessories can be added.

The standard insert can hold up to six thermometers. For larger blocks see the Gemini and Medusa models. All Isotech calibrators including the Jupiter 650 include a customized controller with 5 point linearization allowing for unmatched absolute accuracy and repeatability in a portable dry block.

The SITE model includes a universal sensor input allowing Platinum Resistance Thermometers, Thermocouples (K, N, R, S, L, B, PL2, T, J and E) along with Linear Process Inputs including 4-20mA current transmitters to be displayed on the built-in indicator. The SITE indicator is commonly used to display an external standard thermometer giving greater accuracy by eliminating temperature gradient and loading errors. The indicator also can be programmed with up to five calibration points to provide high accuracy digital probe matching.

CalNotePad: Included as standard. This permits you to connect both an indicator and the calibration bath to the PC. You can view data on clear configurable chart displays, log data to file and control the calibration bath.

I-Cal: A software application that can automatically calibrate up to 16 temperature sensors. It provides an expandable low cost route to automatic calibration - with I-Cal Capture you can store pictures (along with time and temperature data) to enable, for example, dial thermometers to be calibrated automatically; return to a set of images of the dial captured at each calibration temperature!

Fast-Cals are available in basic or complete models.

The Oceanus-6 can be used as a Dry Block, a Liquid Bath, a Blackbody Source for infrared thermometers, a Surface Sensor Calibrator and for performance to a few mK (0.001°C) ITS-90 Fixed Points. Like all Isotech calibrators Oceanus-6 is available in two models, the BASIC (B) version with one controller, and the SITE (S) version with onboard secondary display for high accuracy digital probe matching.

The Quick Cal Temperature Calibrator is a handheld mid-range unit ideal for less-exacting applications.

The High Temperature Quick Cal has a range of 30°C to 350°C (662°F). This calibrator has a single, large well and interchangeable pre-drilled inserts which are 25mm in diameter and 120mm deep. The standard insert has sensor pockets for (2) 1/4", (2) 3/16" and (1) 3/8" diameter probes.
